If Walls Could Talk

If walls could talk, these are the ones I’d invite to coffee.

They’ve soaked up blood spilled by the Khmer Rouge, housed prisoners, hidden secrets, raised families, divided and protected. In each case, they reflect ourselves and our cultures back at us, representing both our fears and our dreams.

It is said that humanity’s biggest addiction is the ego, but my guess is that walls are a close second.

Natalia; Once again I’m blown away by your photos. You’ve noticed the richness and ruddy character of what, through different eyes, would be considered mundane. The compositions are stellar.

Thanks, Kathy! Although I was once again in some countries where it was near impossible to take a bad photo. Every surface was worn and eye catching. Age really is beauty.

I thought you might like this one because I remember you liking a photo I took of a wall in Varanasi, India. Miss you, Shan. Thanks for visiting & supporting! You’re the best 😀
